Ms. Amanda S.

2’s Lead Teacher

Ms. Amanda S. has been working with children since 2022 and is currently in college working on her 90-hour certificate. She loves that the children are so fun and make her smile every day. Amanda says the flexibility the ELC provides for her schedule and the children are the best part of working here. When she is not in school, she enjoys hanging out with her friends.

Ms. Amber

Transitional Infants Lead Teacher

Ms. Amber has been working with children since 2019 when she started as a Teaching Assistant and then began leading her own classroom shortly after. She has her 90-hour and 45-hour certificates as well as credentialed to a level 4. She loves watching the kids grow and seeing the excitement on their faces when they learn something new. When she isn’t working, she’s usually playing video games, spending time with family, watching Netflix, or playing with her cats.

Ms. Aniya

2’s Assistant Teacher

Ms. Aniya has been working in childcare for about two years and has her childcare aid certification. She likes working with kids because they are so much fun to be around! Her favorite time of year at the ELC is summertime because we do lots of fun activities with the children and she loves playing with them. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing and hanging out with friends.

Ms. Caroline

Toddler Lead Teacher

Ms. Caroline has been with the ELC since 2022. She has her 90-hour certification and is becoming MSDE certified and credentialed. She loves working with children because she feels that she is making a difference in the lives of the children in her care.

Ms. Carrie

Lead 2’s Teacher

Ms. Carrie has been teaching children for nine years. She has her AAS Degree in Early Childhood Development , her 90-hour certification, and both 45-hour certifications. Her favorite thing about teaching is watching the children’s cognitive development grow. When she is not working you can find her spending quality time with her family. She enjoys working in the ELC because she loves that she can be creative in the classroom. She believes creativity and play are key to young learning.  

Ms. Celeste

3’s Assistant Teacher

Ms. Celeste is an Assistant Teacher at Glen Mar Early Learning Center with 7–8 years of experience caring for children as a nanny. Originally from Columbia, Maryland, Celeste is passionate about helping children develop kindness, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. She enjoys the welcoming atmosphere and supportive team at Glen Mar and loves watching children grow, learn, and discover something new every day. Celeste believes every child brings joy and unique experiences to the classroom, and she is excited to be part of their learning journey.

Ms. Cinthia

Toddler Assistant Teacher

Ms. Cinthia has been working with children since 2020. She has her 90-hour certification and her CDA. She loves watching children grow and develop their abilities. What Ms. Cinthia loves most about the ELC is the staff and parents, as well as the flexible hours. When Ms. Cinthia is not working, she enjoys time with her family and friends.

Ms. Dim

Assistant Infant Teacher

Ms. Dim has been working with children for over 17 years, and she loves watching and helping the babies grow. She has a bachelor’s degree in education. She also enjoys the environment that the ELC encompasses.

Ms. Jami

4’s Assistant Teacher

Ms. Jami has been working with children since 2016 and is currently working on her 90-hour certification. Ms. Jami loves everything about the children in her care and loves to watch them grow each day. Ms. Jami loves the family feel at the ELC and the loving environment that the staff provides.  When Ms. Jami is not at work, she likes to spend time with her niece.

Ms. Jen

3’s Lead Teacher

Ms. Jen has been working with children for the past year. She currently has her A.A. from CCBC. She enjoys working with children because she likes to help them learn and grow by creating a supportive and inclusive environment. She loves working at the ELC because she likes to watch the children discover new things and grow as people. She loves all the happy smiles. When she is not working you can find her doing yoga, hiking, or spending time with her family.

Ms. Kaili

Infant Assistant Teacher

Ms. Kaili has worked with children for a little over a year. Her goal is to become an elementary school teacher. She enjoys working with children because she gets to help them learn new things and can see their progress throughout the year. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing. She likes working at the ELC because it is a very good work environment, and she enjoys interacting with the kids.

Ms. Katie

Float Teacher

Ms. Katie brings nine years of experience in early childhood education to Glen Mar Early Learning Center, where she serves as a Floater Teacher. Originally from Severn, Maryland, Katie holds a degree in Human Services and Addiction Counseling from Anne Arundel Community College and has specialized training in infant and toddler care, special needs support, breastfeeding education, medication administration, cultural diversity, and autism awareness. She is passionate about inspiring confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning while creating meaningful connections with every child. Katie loves Glen Mar’s supportive, patient, and family-centered environment and looks forward to helping build strong foundations for children both at school and at home-one brick at a time.

Ms. Lillie

Art Teacher

Ms. Lillie is a valued member of the Glen Mar Early Learning Center team, serving as both our Art Teacher and Floater. Originally from Catonsville, Maryland, Lilliana has nearly two years of experience in early childhood education and has completed training through the Maryland Teaching Academy while attending Towson University. She is passionate about helping children discover their creativity, learn through art, and build confidence as they grow. Lilliana loves the supportive community at Glen Mar and enjoys working alongside her coworkers while watching each child thrive. She looks forward to inspiring young artists and making a positive impact in every classroom she visits.

Ms. Linda

4’s Lead Teacher

Ms. Linda has been working with kids since 1997. In 2020 she got her associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She also has her 45- and 90-hour certifications and is credentialed at level 5. Her favorite part about working with kids is the excitement each day brings. She loves helping them develop academically and socially while also encouraging their personalities. When she isn’t working, she’s usually reading books, taking car rides, playing bingo, and watching Ravens and Notre Dame football.

Ms. Lun

Infant Lead Teacher

Ms. Lun began working with children in 2011. She has a bachelor’s degree and many certifications including being credentialed at level 4. She loves working with children. In her free time, you can find Ms. Lun cleaning and shopping.

Ms. Madison

2’s Assistant Teacher

Ms. Madison has been working with children for around four years. She is working toward her college degree. She enjoys working with children because there is never a dull moment. She likes working in the ELC because the kids, the parents, and the staff are so nice. When she is not working, she enjoys hanging out with her husband and her daughter.

Ms. Marcela

Float Teacher

Ms. Marcela is excited to be joining the Glen Mar Early Learning Center team as a Floater Teacher. Marcela is beginning her first year in early childhood education while attending Howard Community College. She loves working with children because they are funny, entertaining, and full of joy, and she enjoys helping teach kindness from an early age. This year, she’s looking forward to earning her CPR certification and expanding her knowledge to become the best educator she can be. In the future, Marcela hopes to own her own business and travel the world, and we’re thrilled to have her as part of the Glen Mar family!

Ms. Marina

Toddler Assistant Teacher

Ms. Marina has been working with children for over 14 years in many capacities. She has a degree as a teacher specialist in comprehensive education.  Her favorite thing about working with children is that they remind her that life is simple, and fun, and that she can start fresh every day. When she is not working, she enjoys reading, taking care of her family, attending workshops and seminars, gardening, and watching Christian movies. She also enjoys sewing and coloring mandalas.

Ms. Marti

4’s Lead Teacher

Ms. Marti has been working with children since 2000 and has her 90-hour preschool certification and is MSDE-Credentialed at a Level 4. Ms. Marti loves the children’s innocent ways and watching them learn — they are always fun to be around! Ms. Marti enjoys working at the ELC because it is family-oriented, and a healthy, positive environment. When Ms. Marti is not working, you can find her hanging out with her family and her two pugs.

Ms. Nnenna

Float Teacher

Ms. Nnenna is a dedicated member of the Glen Mar Early Learning Center team with five years of experience working in education. Originally from Ellicott City, Maryland, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Information from the University of Pittsburgh and is passionate about creating a classroom where children are excited to come to school each day. Nnenna loves the positive, welcoming environment at Glen Mar and enjoys watching children learn, grow, and gain confidence. She hopes to continue making a meaningful impact on young learners while working toward her future career goals, and we’re grateful to have her as part of the Glen Mar family.

Ms. Nyla

Float Teacher

Ms. Nyla is starting out in her first year in childcare. She is a senior in high school and attending college. She loves working with children because she enjoys being a part of their growth and development. She loves providing a safe environment to help them succeed. She likes working at Glen Mar because her coworkers are friendly and the kids are so sweet. In her free time, she likes to do peoples nails and run track.

Ms. Sarah

Float Teacher

Ms. Sarah has been working in the childcare field for 39 years and has her 90-hour certification. She enjoys working with children because they are fun to be with and they ask such silly questions. When she goes home, she likes to spend time with her chocolate lab, going on walks, and gardening. She likes working at the ELC because the teachers are friendly, and it is a family-oriented atmosphere. 

Ms. Shelby

Toddler Lead Teacher

Ms. Shelby has worked with children since she was 13 years old. She is a senior in high school and in the ARL CNA/PCT program. After high school she wants to get her master’s in science nursing and become a neonatal nurse practitioner. She enjoys working with children because she loves to see them learn and grow. In her spare time, she babysits and loves hanging out with friends and dancing. She likes working at the ELC because she gets to see the children master new skills and she adores babies.

Ms. Tatiana

4’s Assistant Teacher

Ms. Tatiana has been working in childcare for a little over a year. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and is currently in school getting her master’s in counseling psychology. She likes working with children because they are so silly and smart. She loves seeing them learn new skills and how proud they feel after. She enjoys working at the ELC because of the flexibility, the kind staff and how sweet the children are. When she is not working, you can find her walking with her dog, watching movies, and trying new foods with friends.

Ms. Vashika

3’s Assistant Teacher

Ms. Vashika has been working with children for 10-plus years and enjoys doing arts and crafts with them as well as teaching academics. Ms. V has her 90-hour and her 45-hour certifications to work with infants, toddlers, and preschool children. When Ms. V is not working, she enjoys taking care of and going out with her family.
